What You’ll Do

As a Cloud Engineer, your main responsibility will be to ensure we have a stable, scalable and well performing Microsoft Azure cloud environment.

 

To be successful in this role, you will have to:

  • Successfully troubleshoot technical issues related to SQL server and connected technologies

  • Regularly evaluate cloud applications, hardware, and software

  • Develop and organize cloud systems

  • Respond to technical issues in a professional and timely manner

  • Identify the top cloud architecture solutions to successfully meet the strategic needs of the company

  • Analyze current client IT infrastructure, database, integration, and application environments

  • Estimate and outline the solution approaches, can express and articulate the architecture and design rationale

What You Need

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or relevant field

  • Positive attitude and a strong commitment to delivering quality work

  • Effective communication skills (written and verbal) to properly articulate complicated cloud reports to management and other IT development partners

  • Excellent knowledge of Azure computing technologies and current computing trends

  • Experience in configuring & monitoring different attributes and handling scale up and scale down scenarios for the application in Azure

  • Application monitoring through operations insight, application insight

  • Provide best practices around provisioning production and non-production environments on Azure to optimize the usage

  • Strong experience in Azure platform Services, understanding of their capabilities and limitations and being able to architect and deliver solutions leveraging various platform services

  • Strong understanding of the cloud architecture patterns and solution design principles

  • Strong understanding of different attributes for cloud application availability, scalability and ability to propose optimized design for cloud

  • Performance tuning of cloud based applications for best performance

  • Ideally you are located in Fort Wayne, Indiana, or open to relocating here
